The forward of the Ivory Coast national team, Wilfried Bony, ended speculation about his future and signed a new four-year contract with "Swansea City".
Last season, the African player scored 25 goals in 48 matches played for the "Swans" and attracted interest from top English Premier League clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool.
However, the 25-year-old footballer was not tempted by the attention from these famous teams and decided to stay with Swansea, where he continues to be a key player in the starting lineup.
"This is great news for the club," officially stated Swansea's coach, Garry Monk, on the team's website. "I have talked a lot about Bony, how he brings benefits not only on the field but also off it."
This season, W. Bony has played 10 matches and scored four goals.
