On Tuesday evening in England, five second leg matches of the FA Cup third round were played. The clubs, who played to a draw in the first leg, clarified their relationship once again.
In London, "Tottenham" fought for a place in the next round against "Middlesbrough," a club competing in the Championship. Jose Mourinho's team did not have an easy walk, but still made it to the next stage.
The "Spurs" team had a very successful start to the match - Giovanni Lo Celso scored in the 2nd minute and Erik Lamela confirmed the advantage in the 15th minute.
"Middlesbrough" team ignited hope in the 83rd minute with a goal from George Saville. However, no more surprises happened in the remaining time, and "Tottenham" achieved victory.
In other matches, "Newcastle United" also secured a ticket to the next stage by not leaving any chances for "Rochdale" at home.
