London's Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas confirmed that his team is looking for a striker, so they are seriously considering the possibility of attracting Valencia's captain Roberto Soldado.
As reported, the Spurs' technical director traveled to Spain to discuss the potential striker's move to London, but the asking price for the player by the "bats" team is 29 million euros.
"At the moment, Soldado is the only player we are interested in," the Portuguese said. "It's not a lie that we are looking for a new striker. I think everything will be clear in the near future."
"Roberto is a fantastic player. His career speaks for itself. Any coach in the team would want to see a striker of his class," A.Villas-Boas insisted.
Earlier, Tottenham sought to attract Christian Benteke, but the latter recently extended his contract with Aston Villa.
