"Tottenham" crushes "Southampton" team in the second half (VIDEO)

At 9:45 PM Lithuanian time, the final match of the 18th round of the English "Premier" took place.

"Southampton" faced off against the London team "Tottenham" in front of their own fans. Mauricio Pochettino's team was the first to concede a goal, but they fought back and defeated their opponents with a score of 1-4.

The match started with a quick goal from the hosts - after a set piece, Virgil van Dijk sent the ball into Hugo Lloris' goal with his head.

After conceding a goal, "Tottenham" immediately tried to equalize, but the "Saints" dangerously transitioned from defense to attack. Within the first 15 minutes, the "Spurs" managed to take control and in the 19th minute, Dele Alli equalized with a great header.

There were no more significant events in the rest of the first half and the teams went into halftime with a 1-1 scoreline. The second half started with a strong push from M. Pochettino's players - in the 52nd minute, Harry Kane scored a great goal after a corner kick.

As if that wasn't enough, in the 57th minute "Southampton" was reduced to ten men when Nathan Redmond committed a foul on D. Alli and received a red card. However, luck smiled upon the "Saints" - H. Kane missed his penalty shot from the 11-meter mark.

"Southampton" tried to fight back, but "Tottenham" switched to a higher gear towards the end of the match and secured a comfortable victory. In the 85th minute, Heung-Min Son increased the lead, and just two minutes later, the first goal scorer D. Alli added the final touch.

"Tottenham" occupies the fifth position in the English standings with 36 points, trailing the leaders by a 10-point difference. "Southampton" remains in eighth place after the loss.
