At 19 hours and 30 minutes, probably the most interesting 13th round match took place in the English Premier League.
At the "Wembley" stadium, two London teams - "Tottenham" and "Chelsea" - met. Dominating completely until the 80th minute, "Spurs" won their first defeat this season against "Chelsea" with a score of 3:1.
From the very beginning, "Tottenham" created pressure towards the visitors' goal. The first goal didn't take long to arrive - in the 8th minute, Christian Eriksen lifted the ball into the penalty area, where Dele Alli, who was higher than everyone else, sent the ball past Kepa's hands into the "Chelsea" goal.
In the 16th minute, "Chelsea" was punished with a second goal - Harry Kane scored with an unexpected shot from about 20 meters, which Kepa did not manage to react to. The result became 2:0.
During the remaining time of the first half, no more goals were scored, although Mauricio Pochettino's players had another good opportunity.
In the second half, the "Tottenham" team continued to perform successfully. In the 54th minute, "Chelsea" was already trailing - Heung-Min Son sprinted on the right flank, outplayed both Jorginho and David Luiz, and entered the penalty area leaving no chance for the opponent's goalkeeper.
Later, H. Kane and D. Alli had another great opportunity to score, but the hosts did not score anymore, and the honor goal for "Chelsea" came in the 85th minute through Olivier Giroud, who came on as a substitute.
After the victory, "Tottenham" rose to third place and maintained a 5-point gap from the leaders. Meanwhile, "Chelsea" dropped to fourth place and increased their gap from "Man City" to seven points.
