On Saturday, the first matches of the eighth round of the English Premier League were played, which further disrupted the peace of London's Tottenham team.
Midweek, the "Spurs" team, who suffered a real humiliation at home, tried to make amends in the match against Brighton, but from the very beginning of the match, the visitors from North London made unforgivable mistakes, which later led to a second defeat in the last four days.
The match for the Tottenham team in Brighton started catastrophically - already in the 3rd minute after a rough mistake by Hugo Lloris, Neal Maupay scored for the hosts. To make matters worse, this mistake cost H. Lloris a serious injury - the goalkeeper possibly broke his left arm when he fell.
After conceding an early goal and losing their captain, "Tottenham" players, who lost to Bayern with a result of 2:7 midweek, found it very difficult to recover.
Brighton took advantage of their opponents' despair and increased their lead in the 32nd minute - this time Aaron Connolly scored a goal for himself.
In the second half, "Spurs" started playing more aggressively, but didn't benefit from it - in the 65th minute, A. Connolly once again sent the visitors into disarray, scoring the third goal for his team and sealing the deal in this duel.
The Tottenham team suffered their third defeat in this Premier League season and dropped to eighth place.
