London's "Tottenham" club does not intend to risk Christian Eriksen's contract and hopes to say goodbye to the Dane already this summer.
For a long time, the 27-year-old midfielder has been on the radar of Madrid's "Real" club, but lately they have started to doubt the Dane's chances. According to "Marca", the Spanish capital club received a phone call from "Tottenham" chairman Daniel Levy this week.
It is said that "Tottenham" offered "Real" Madrid 70 million euros to acquire the rights to the player.
"Tottenham" initially demanded 150 million euros for C. Eriksen, but due to his contract situation and the understanding that he does not intend to renew it, D. Levy has taken decisive action.
His contract with "Tottenham" expires in 2020, so "Tottenham" has one last chance to earn from the sale of the footballer.
"Marca" emphasizes that Madrid's "Real" club is not currently considering the offer from "Spurs" because they are focused on Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek.
