"Tottenham" reached dramatic draw in the North London derby

On Saturday afternoon in the English Premier League, intriguing matches of the 29th round took place.

At the "Wembley" stadium, two North London teams - "Arsenal" and "Tottenham" - clashed weapons. "Spurs" defended themselves from the penalty spot at the end of the match and reached their first draw of the season - 1:1.

"Arsenal" players started the match very aggressively and could have scored early on when Alexandre Lacazette found himself in a good position. However, the Frenchman disappointed with his left-footed shot.

In the 16th minute, "Tottenham" was punished with the first goal - the "Gunners" took advantage of a quick attack after a set piece using Davinson Sanchez's mistake, and Aaron Ramsey, who ran forward, deceived Hugo Lloris and scored to put the visitors ahead.

After conceding a goal, "Tottenham" pressed the opponents, but "Arsenal" played defensively very confidently.

In the second half, "Spurs" did not change the game plan and continued to try to create attacks on the wings. The hosts finally had a golden opportunity to score after a set piece when Harry Kane earned a penalty. The Englishman did not miss the shot and equalized the score.

Arsenal, who missed a painful goal, did not intend to close themselves in defense and started launching dangerous attacks. Just before the end of the regular time, the "Gunners" also had a golden opportunity to score the second goal, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang disappointed the visitors.

The Gabonese striker earned a penalty himself, but his insecure shot was saved by H. Lloris. Immediately after that episode, the attacker had a second chance to score, but he was stopped from scoring by Jan Vertonghen who played excellently near the goal line.

Right at the end of the match, Lucas Torreira received a red card, but it had no significance for the final result.

For the "Tottenham" team, it was the first draw in the last 32 Premier League matches. Mauricio Pochettino's players should not be too happy with these points - they have not won in the last three matches.

Arsenal remained temporarily in fourth place after the draw.
