On Tuesday evening, the England League Cup 4th round match was played at the "Tottenham" stadium. Two London teams - "Tottenham" and "Chelsea" - competed for a spot in the quarter-finals. The regular time ended in a tie (1:1), but in the penalty shootout, luck smiled upon the "Spurs" team. "Chelsea" players took the lead first. In the 19th minute, after a pass from Cesar Azpilicueta, Timo Werner scored his first goal in England. However, later the initiative belonged to the "Tottenham" team. They had to wait for an equalizer though. It came in the 83rd minute, courtesy of Erik Lamela. The regular time ended in a draw, so the winner was decided in a penalty shootout. The penalty shootout went well for both teams, but it was the decisive fifth shot missed by "Chelsea" player Mason Mount. Ultimately, "Tottenham" triumphed 5-4.
