In the only Wednesday game of the English Premiership league, Tottenham celebrated a 2-0 victory against Man City as guests and secured the fourth place on the tournament table.
A mistake by defender Sylvain Distin allowed Tottenham to take the lead after half an hour of play - S. Distin failed to "cover" the ball and young Aaron Lennon, who took it away, made a great pass to Egyptian Mido, who sent the ball into the goal past defender Richard Dunne and scored his ninth goal of the season.
Seven minutes before the end of the match, the same S. Distin lost the battle "in the second tier" with Mido and the first one to rush to the ball, Robbie Keane, shot accurately and secured the victory.
