The first goal did not take long to wait. In the 6th minute of the match, one of the most effective strikers in this season, Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov, deceived Charlton's defender Talal El Karkouri and outplayed Charlton's goalkeeper Scott Carson to score his 11th goal in the Premier League.
