Tottenham team holds strong in Frankfurt - in the Europa League semifinals

"Tottenham” reached the second semifinal this season.

In the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinals, "Tottenham” defeated Frankfurt’s "Eintracht” 1:0 away and won the series with an aggregate score of 2:1.

At the end of the first half, inexperienced "Eintracht” goalkeeper Kaua Santosas carelessly fouled James Maddison. After a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty kick to the home team, which Dominicas Solanke confidently converted. The injured Maddison was substituted.

Both "Eintracht” and "Tottenham” had a few chances to score in the second half, but there were no goals, and Ange Postecoglou's team reached the important semifinal.

In the semifinal, the "Spurs” will face either "Lazio” or "Bodo Glimt” clubs.
