In India - a tragedy. After the tripping performed during the third division football match, the life of 23-year-old footballer Peter Biaksangzuala went out.
"Bethlehem Vengthland" defender was fatally injured in the 62nd minute of the match, when celebrating a goal he performed a somersault. After scoring the equalizer, the player, not having time to turn in the air, fell straight on his head.
P. Biaksangzuala remained lying on the field.
Teammates rushed to the fallen player. Soon they desperately asked for medical help.
Doctors rushed P. Biaksangzuala to the nearest hospital. The footballer was diagnosed with spinal cord injuries.
For five days, doctors fought for the Indian's life, but on Sunday morning it finally went out.
According to witnesses, P. Biaksangzuala wanted to perform a signature trick of German football legend Miroslav Klose.
In honor of the footballer, the club will honor him with armbands marked with the number 21.
Teammates trembled with despair after the tragedy.
