Transfer that "Barcelona" can make in the summer of 2015

FIFA angered "Barcelona" in the winter and summer of 2015, the club will not be able to buy new footballers, but no one prevents the Catalans from strengthening the club's management structure.

The newspaper "El Mundo Deportivo" claims that after this season, "Barcelona" executives may only be filled by a real market mega star hunting star. This is Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, better known in the football world under the short name Monchi.

Now a 46-year-old Spaniard works as a sports director at "Sevilla", but his contract with the Andalusian team ends in the summer of 2015 and cooperation, it seems, will not be extended.

According to the publication, it is stated that the Catalan club is preparing a solid offer for Monchi, and the sports director himself is leaning towards "Barcelona", although there is no shortage of teams wanting to see him in their ranks.

Monchi is considered one of the key figures in "Sevilla's" victories and successful activities in the transfer market. It is thanks to him that the world learned about Daniel Alves, Julio Baptista, Adriano Correia, Seydou Keita. He helped improve Christian Poulsen, Sebastien Squillaci, Gary Medel, and Geoffrey Kondogbia. He trusted Ivan Rakitic's potential. Through Monchi's efforts, Sergio Ramos, Jose Antonio Reyes, and Jesus Navas emerged from the "Sevilla" youth academy.

All these footballers are a great proof that Monchi has a devilishly good instinct in talent hunting.

Just over two years ago, interest in this specialist was shown by the then Jose Mourinho coached Madrid's "Real", but later the capital's team and the Portuguese parted ways, so the "Sevilla" transfer guru was forgotten.

It is a well-known fact that the current Bayern Munich manager Josep Guardiola admires this specialist's work and ability to find cheap but very talented and promising players. He met with Monchi in Munich for several months, which only fueled speculation that the Spaniard could move to Germany.

It is said that St. Petersburg's "Zenit" is ready to go further and could lay an empty check on the table that would specify the desired salary. However, the Russian club is not such an attractive project that the "Sevilla" sports director, hungry for new challenges, would be fascinated.

Very good relations link the specialist with the current "Tottenham Hotspur" team strategist Mauricio Pochettino.

However, Monchi himself claims not to be in a hurry to make a decision and is currently focusing solely on the team's affairs in Andalusia.

According to "El Mundo Deportivo", the Catalan club is the most desirable employer if the Spaniard still decides to pack his bags and leave Seville.

"Barcelona" will not be able to buy footballers in the next two transfer windows, but this would not be an obstacle to attract Monchi, who would also need time to understand certain new aspects of operation and prepare his usual aggressive strategy for further strengthening the "Barcelona" club.

Next summer, "Barca" will have to play the role of observers in the footballers' market, but that does not mean that the Catalans will not be able to fight in a less visible market of such specialists, where a carefully chosen "transfer" can bring significant dividends.
