After long negotiations, David Trezeguet has finally extended his contract with Juventus. The Frenchman signed a four-year deal and will play for the Turin team until the summer of 2008.

"We decided to accept Trezeguet's conditions and the contract was signed," said Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi.

"I am happy. We have resolved this situation and I remain at Juventus," said David.

This week, Juve sold a forward to Valencia, so Trezeguet should be one of the main attackers for the team.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona showed interest in acquiring David, but the club's executives failed to agree on the player's price.
