"The opponents played better, especially in the first half," T. Ruutli said after the match. "In the second half, we managed to equalize the result. However, 'Žalgiris' played their game and won a deserved victory."
When asked why the Lithuanian Marius Dovydėnas, who was on the bench, did not appear on the field, the "Levadia" coach replied: "Today was not the style of football he plays."
In Tuesday's match, Vilnius "Žalgiris" took the lead at the end of the first half when defender Edvinas Lukoševičius scored a header after a corner kick.
