After the Vilnius "Žalgiris" lost 2-1 in the Baltic Football League match, the head coach of Tallinn, Tarmo Ruutli, said that the stronger team won.
"The opponents played better, especially in the first half," T. Ruutli said after the match. "In the second half, we managed to equalize the result. However, 'Žalgiris' played their game and won a deserved victory."
When asked why the Lithuanian Marius Dovydėnas, who was on the bench, did not appear on the field, the "Levadia" coach replied: "Today was not the style of football he plays."
In Tuesday's match, Vilnius "Žalgiris" took the lead at the end of the first half when defender Edvinas Lukoševičius scored a header after a corner kick. Although Indrekas Zelinskis scored past the artificial offside goalkeeper in the second half, at the end of the match, substitute Nikolajus Misiukas scored the winning goal.
