Before the UEFA Champions League knockout matches starting on Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain team captain Thiago Silva did not shy away from bold statements.
According to the Brazilian, it is time for the team he represents to take the first place in the tournament.
"If we do not win the Champions League and only remain with the names of Ligue 1 champions, people will say 'they were not ready to triumph yet'. But as captain, I can say - we are ready," Silva said.
"I see the faces of my teammates and they are hungry for victories and success. Together, we also want to create PSG history."
In the Champions League quarterfinals stage, the Paris team will face Chelsea from London. The first leg of the tie will be played on Tuesday in the French capital.
