Dortmund's "Borussia" coach Thomas Tuchel liked the fighting spirit demonstrated by his players in the Champions League match against Real Madrid.
The representatives of the Bundesliga played at home and extended the match to a 2:2 draw.
"There's no feeling as if we fought for a victory, because we scored very late. Maybe we could have scored again. However, I am happy that we managed to at least fight for a draw - a well-deserved result," said the German.
"We can play even better, so I'm not very happy. We should have been leading in the first half, but something didn't work out.
After the break, we lost some control of the match and the tension was too high, even though the score was only 1:1 at that time," Tuchel said.
"Real gained confidence in their abilities and then we had to endure."
"We have young players who need to gain experience, but I believe in their abilities," the coach assured.
