The fourteenth round of the Bundesliga is over. On Sunday, there were two matches and both ended in a draw. With three rounds left before the winter break, "Bayern" club continues to lead the league, with "Hamburger" trailing by six points. By the way, one of the matches of the fourteenth round between "Duisburg" and "Koln" was postponed.
An interesting match took place in Frankfurt on Sunday between "Eintracht" and "Stuttgart" teams. Before this meeting, "Stuttgart" coach made no changes in the starting lineup compared to the successful matches in the UEFA Cup, but at the beginning of the match, after about 19 minutes, G. Trapattoni and his students were disappointed when former "Stuttgart" player I. Amanatidis put the "Eintracht" team in front. After this goal, the hosts took the initiative and had a few more chances at the end of the first half, but failed to capitalize on them and the teams went into the break with a minimal lead for the "Eintracht" club.
In the second half, "Stuttgart" began to press the opponents, so in the 56th minute the team's coach G. Trapattoni substituted defender M. Stranzl with striker M. Gomez, and soon this change paid off - in the 63rd minute, D. Ljuboja received a pass from T. Hitzlsperger, stopped the ball with his chest, beat the opponent's goalkeeper, and equalized the score. At the end of the match, both teams still had a good chance to snatch the victory, but neither team managed to score and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. With one point each, both teams continue to occupy mid-table positions.
Another Sunday match between "Hertha" and "Gladbach" teams also ended in a draw. The visitors started the match more successfully and after about 12 minutes, "Gladbach" already led 2-0. However, after the break, the "Hertha" players showed a strong character and at the end of the match, thanks to goals from Y. Basturk and N. Kovac, managed to equalize the score and snatch a crucial point. After 14 rounds, "Hertha" has 22 points and occupies fifth place, while "Gladbach" is two positions below with one point less.
