French radio station RMC reports that London's "Arsenal" is one step away from an agreement with Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin, who will sign new contracts.
Currently, the striker's contract is valid until the summer of 2018, but club officials are willing to keep him in the ranks of the "Gunners" and seek to extend cooperation for longer years.
Meanwhile, Coquelin can only be certain about his future in North London until 2019. However, with his importance growing in the team, the "Arsenal" coaching staff planning for the long term future wants more clarity.
Although both Frenchmen do not have guaranteed spots in the starting lineup, their presence on the bench has a huge impact in the fight for top awards.
Giroud wearing the "Gunners" jersey this season appeared on the field 13 times, Coquelin - 17 times.
