Two candidates are competing for the position of head coach of the Edinburgh team - George Burley and Nevio Scala. The hint was given by the team's general director Phil Anderton.

The club was linked to Lothar Matthaus and Billy Davies, a contract was offered to the famous Bobby Robson, who refused it due to family circumstances.

G. Burley stepped down as head coach of Derby County this month and later rejected an offer from Millwall. Former Moscow head coach N. Scala had previously been mentioned as a real candidate for the position of head coach of Hearts, and he himself said he wanted to work with the Scottish team.

"I won't talk about any specific names. Various names have appeared in the press, most of which were completely wrong," says Anderton. - "But these two (Burley and Scala) have a lot of experience and are a perfect fit for what we are currently looking for - people who have proven their ability to lead teams and take on challenges. A coach like Scala has impressive experience in Italy. He also worked in Turkey and Ukraine, winning trophies and championships there. He has the potential to be the driving force behind the club's success."

"Burley led Ipswich to the Premier League and finished fifth with the team, earning a spot in the UEFA tournament. Those are the kind of people we are looking for," says Anderton.
