"Two red cards earned by Tottenham in extra time fall to Bournemouth"

On Saturday, three more matches of the 37th round of the English Premier League were played.

If they had won, the London club "Tottenham" could have secured their place in the Champions League, but they suffered a painful defeat in Bournemouth. Even with two red cards received, the "Spurs" players were close to equalizing, but playing in front of their own fans during added time, "Bournemouth" still managed to achieve a victory.

"Tottenham" started playing recklessly from the very first minutes - three players received yellow cards in the first half. Eric Dier was very close to being sent off the field, but instead of him, Heung-Min Son received a red card against his own team at the end of the first half, unable to control his emotions and behaving unsportingly towards the opponent.

In the second half, M. Pochettino substituted two players who had received yellow cards, but then a bigger tragedy occurred - Juan Foyth, just after two minutes, had a dangerous tackle on an opponent and also received a red card. The Argentine's performance ended in just a few minutes.

The "Tottenham" team had to focus only on defense. For most of the time, the "Spurs" hardly faced any major problems, but the pressure increased as the match approached its end.

The decisive moment came in the first minute of added time when Nathaniel Ake headed in a powerful shot after a Ryan Fraser corner and gifted the hosts the victory.

For the "Tottenham" club, this was a particularly painful defeat. "Chelsea" now has the opportunity to surpass M. Pochettino's team in third place, and there is still hope for "Arsenal" and "Man Utd". "Spurs" will face "Everton" in the final round, so they are in for a tough battle for three points.

If, for example, the "Arsenal" team wins their last two matches, they will have 72 points, while "Tottenham", even with a draw against "Everton", will only have 71. So, the once secure position of the "Tottenham" club will see them play a final-worthy match in the last round.

For the "Bournemouth" team, this was their first victory against "Tottenham" in the top league of the country.

The other matches ended in an easy victory for "West Ham" against "Southampton" and a defeat for "Fulham" against "Wolves".
