Russian footballers who made extra money heard the court's verdict. Aleksandras Kokorinas should spend a year and a half behind bars, while Pavel Mamayev - a year and five months, reports lrytas.lt.
27-year-old A. Kokorinas and 30-year-old P. Mamayev first attacked a driver on the street in early October 2018, who was trying to scold the footballers for kicking cars while waiting for a journalist.
Later in a cafe, these actors attacked several more people. During the conflict, the footballers used chairs, and their actions were recorded by surveillance cameras.
In the cafe, Russia's Ministry of Economy and Trade's Automobile and Railway Development Department director D. Pakas and his colleague S. Gaisinas were harmed by the athletes.
These footballers have already caused trouble before. In 2016, a video from the prestigious Monte Carlo club "Twiga" was released to the public.
In it, the mentioned players not only did not want to honor their country's anthem, but also laughed after the tragic end of the European Championship for the Russian national team. That night, they together spent 250,000 euros on champagne.
