The head coach of Birmingham's Aston Villa club, Unai Emery, revealed after reaching the Champions League quarterfinals that he hopes Marco Asensio, who scored a double in the last match, will stay with the team:

"I hope we will extend the contract with M. Asensio. Of course, we are satisfied with him.

We kept him out because the Spaniard doesn't feel 100 percent healthy... He wanted to start the match in the starting lineup, but I decided to rest him."

Birmingham's Aston Villa club defeated Club Brugge 3-0 in the return match.
