Unai Emery remembered the famous failure of Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.
In the 2016-17 season, PSG faced "Barcelona" in the quarter-final stage. The first match ended with a surprising 4-0 victory for the Parisians, but "Barcelona" at home "responded" with six goals (6:1) and advanced further.
Remembering this match, U. Emery does not hide that PSG suffered from poor refereeing decisions.
"Our goal was always to win the Champions League. In the first year we met 'Barcelona' and in the first match we had a real football spectacle.
In the return leg, we were eliminated only because there was no VAR technology at that time. Our tournament journey ended due to poor refereeing," - U. Emery spoke about the painful experience.
