Legendary Arsene Wenger, who was replaced by Unai Emery in the ranks of London's Arsenal this summer, is showing results that have not been typical for the club for a long time - the team has already won 10 consecutive games.
In Monday's match, U. Emery's students defeated "Leicester" with a score of 3:1. The "Gunners" are still in fourth position, but they are only two points behind the "Man City" team at the top of the Premier League.
"Today we won because we started playing with all our heart," the coach said after the match.
"The first 30 minutes were not good because we couldn't control events on the field. However, we are happy because it is part of our progress. Now we know that even without playing well, we can change the situation and play the way we know best in a certain period of the match.
Now the demands on our team are higher than ever, so we need to improve our game control. As I said, we didn't play well for 30 minutes, but in the remaining 60 minutes we showed quality and organized football surrounded by our amazing fans.
"This feeling was the best in this match," added U. Emery.
The last time Arsenal won 10 consecutive games was in the 2006-07 season.
