The Lithuanian U21 men's national team finished their performance in the Baltic Cup tournament in Estonia on Sunday.

In the match for third place, the students of Tomas Razanauskas lost 0:2 (0:0) to the Finnish team and finished fourth in the final standings. The Finns, in turn, claimed third place.

It is worth noting that in the semi-finals of the tournament, Lithuanians lost to Latvians on penalties, while the Finns narrowly lost 0:1 to the hosts, the Estonians.

In Sunday's match, neither team was able to clearly take control from the start. The Finns had more possession of the ball, but the Lithuanians defended quite reliably, did not make gross mistakes, and sought opportunities to launch fast attacks.

However, in the first half, neither team capitalized on their chances, and the score was tied 0:0 at halftime.

The pattern of play remained largely unchanged, and after the break - although there were attacks or attempts on both sides, a goal did not come for a while.

After playing just over an hour, a penalty was awarded to the Lithuanian national team, which the Finns converted to take the lead 1:0.

At the end of the match, the Finns increased their advantage and secured third place in the tournament.
