Italian club head coach Giovanni Galeone declared that he would need nothing else if he could add attacking midfielder Goran Pandev to the team in the summer, while keeping the core of the team intact, including leader Vincenzo Iaquinta.

"Considering our modest club budget, I can say that with the money we have, we couldn't really afford to buy better players than we currently have, and I would be fully satisfied with the current players, along with a few additions from the youth team and possibly Goran Pandev, whom I previously coached at the Ancona team," shared G. Galeone about the plans for the upcoming season.

"Goran Pandev has expressed a desire to stay at Lazio club, but I think he wouldn't object to a new challenge, and I believe there will be an agreement reached with the Lazio club, and the Macedonian will wear Udinese's jersey in the next season," extended G. Galeone his thoughts.

The strategist also stated that he most hopes for the talented forward Vincenzo Iaquinta to stay in the club, who was rumored in the press to be linked with Roma club, where former Udinese strategist Luciano Spaletti works.

At the beginning of the season, Udinese team was led by Sersme Cosmi; however, after the club withdrew from the Champions League competition and suffered several consecutive losses in the Italian league, the strategist was dismissed from his duties. However, those who took over his duties, Loris Dominissini and Nestor Sensini, fared even worse - the club in Serie A still could not achieve victory and even found themselves in the relegation zone, so these strategists resigned from their posts.

Then Udinese turned to experienced Italian Giovanni Galeone, who guided the team out of the bottom of the Italian championship, earning five wins and three draws, which helped him sign a one-year contract for the next season.

"I had no doubts about the abilities of the players. It was just a matter of reviving their enthusiasm and creativity. They just needed a little self-confidence," revealed the experienced strategist about his secret of success.
