The Scottish Football Association (FA) and UEFA are investigating the criticism of Edinburgh owner Vladimir Romanov regarding the referees' work in certain matches. UEFA will examine V. Romanov's comments regarding referee Yuriy Baskakov, who officiated the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round second leg match with the Athens team "AEK". In this match, the "Hearts" team finished with nine players and had to acknowledge the opponents' 3-0 victory and withdraw from further competition. Many club shareholders also contribute to this criticism. "We have received a letter with Romanov's comments and will examine them. If necessary, we may take various sanctions, such as a warning, reprimand, fine or suspension," said a UEFA representative. Meanwhile, the main goal of the Scottish FA Committee will be to investigate the Edinburgh team owner's claims of referee bias in the Scottish Cup. V. Romanov's comments will be discussed at a meeting on October 24. On the official club website, V. Romanov states that "Hearts" won the Scottish Cup last season despite the referees' created intrigues.
