UEFA begins investigation into match between Italy and Croatia

UEFA has started an investigation into the actions of fans during the 2016 European Championship qualifying match between the national teams of Italy and Croatia.

From the 15th minute after Ivan Perišić's equalizing goal, signal flares and fireworks were thrown onto the field. The match in Milan ended in a 1-1 draw.

After more than 70 minutes of Croatian fans throwing flares and smoke bombs, the match was suspended. The halftime break lasted about 10 minutes.

It is reported that UEFA will investigate both teams for the fireworks, and Croatia may face sanctions for the fans' racist incidents.

The case should be resolved by December 11th.
