UEFA Champions League group stage draw baskets

Yesterday, the final clubs for the UEFA Champions League, who will compete in the most powerful European tournament group stage this season, were revealed. Today at 19:00 Lithuanian time in the UEFA headquarters, the draw for the 2016-17 season group stage will take place. In total, 32 teams will compete in the Champions League, which will be divided into eight groups (A-H) after the draw. Before the group stage, UEFA divided all 32 teams into four pots. The first pot includes champions from seven countries and last season's tournament winner, Madrid "Real" club. The other pots are divided according to the corresponding team rankings and the qualification stages. For example, Scottish champion Glasgow "Celtic" started their journey towards the group stage from the second qualifying round. As an example, Group A could be composed as follows: Madrid "Real" (Pot 1), Dortmund "Borussia" (Pot 2), London "Tottenham" (Pot 3), and "Legia" (Pot 4).
