UEFA does not intend to host the European Championship in one country © JumpStory

Last summer, the European Football Championship, which was supposed to take place, was postponed until the summer of 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This tournament, quite unusually, was planned to take place in as many as 12 different countries, but for a while, rumors started spreading that UEFA was planning to hold the championship only in Russia next summer due to the COVID-19 situation in the world. However, it seems that UEFA is not planning to change the format of the tournament for now, and the matches should take place in 12 different countries, as originally planned. Moreover, it is expected that spectators will be able to attend the upcoming summer football party. "UEFA is making every effort for the European Championship to take place next summer, as planned, in 12 different cities. We plan for spectators to be able to attend the matches," a UEFA representative said in conversation with SID. The European Football Championship should start on June 11 next summer, with the final of the tournament scheduled for July 11 at London's "Wembley" stadium.
