UEFA Europa League final - Chelsea's assured triumph

On Wednesday in the Azerbaijani capital Baku, the UEFA Europa League final took place.

In the clash of two "Premier" league teams, the London team "Chelsea" triumphed with a score of 4:1 against "Arsenal".

In the first half, the teams showed very cautious football, and the first serious chance came in the 9th minute with "Arsenal" forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but his shot went wide of the goal.

Midway through the first half, another "gunner" player Granit Xhaka took a dangerous shot, but the ball went over the crossbar.

At the end of the half, "Chelsea" also had their chances. Emerson had a dangerous shot in the 34th minute, and in the 39th minute Olivier Giroud scored for Peter Cech. However, the first half ended goalless.

Chelsea started the second half impressively and in the 49th minute, O. Giroud scored with a great header, putting his team in the lead. Just 11 minutes later, Pedro doubled the "aristocrats" lead.

In the 65th minute, O. Giroud earned a penalty, which was successfully converted by Eden Hazard, making it 3:0.

After a change in the field, Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi scored a fantastic goal in the 69th minute, reviving the gunners' hopes.

Those hopes were dashed just three minutes later when E. Hazard scored his second goal after a great attack.

Arsenal had a few chances at the end of the match to reduce the deficit, but they failed to capitalize on them.

For the Chelsea team, this is their second Europa League trophy in the club's history. Arsenal's defeat means that the gunners will compete in the Europa League again next season.
