UEFA has started an investigation into C. Ronaldo's gesture to "Atletico" fans

UEFA has started an investigation into Cristiano Ronaldo's behavior during the UEFA Champions League match against Madrid's "Atletico". Just last week, we reported that "Atletico" passed on to UEFA to investigate C. Ronaldo's behavior towards the Spanish club fans who had arrived in Turin. After the final whistle, C. Ronaldo turned to the "Atletico" fans and made the famous Diego Simeone "cojones" gesture towards them, as well as directed some not-so-nice Spanish words towards them. "Atletico" coach D. Simeone was fined 20,000 euros for such a gesture in the first match. Juventus fans hope that only a monetary fine will be imposed in this situation. However, the fact that C. Ronaldo showed disrespectful gestures to "Atletico" fans could earn him a 1-2 match suspension in the Champions League tournament. UEFA will announce the final decision next Thursday. "Juventus" will compete against Amsterdam's "Ajax" team in the Champions League quarterfinals.
