UEFA pleased individual award hunters

In the UEFA awards ceremony taking place in August, even more laurels will be awarded in various categories. The organization officially announced that it has established five new awards - best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and striker of the past Champions League season, with the last award going to the most prominent player of the Europa League. The foreign press has already begun to speculate on who will receive these awards. According to the media, the best goalkeeper title is likely to be contested by Turin's "Juventus" legend Gianluigi Buffon, while the striker category will probably be dominated by Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 12 goals. Predicting the winner of the Europa League is a bit more challenging - possible candidates include "Man Utd" midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and "Roma" striker Edin Dzeko.
