UEFA President M. Platini: I will no longer support S. Blatter

UEFA President Michel Platini has announced that he will no longer support the current president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter, in the upcoming FIFA elections, as it is time for him to step down. In recent years, S. Blatter has faced criticism from many football leaders. The 78-year-old Swiss still promises to be a candidate next year, but his chances of remaining as FIFA president are minimal. "I will no longer support him, it's over," said M. Platini. "I have known Sepp for a long time and I like him, but I don't think he should seek another term. "I supported him in 1998, but I will not support him in 2014. In the future, I will not back him and I have told him that. I believe FIFA needs a breath of fresh air," added the UEFA president. M. Platini also confirmed that he will be a candidate for FIFA president in 2015.
