Foreign media reports that Cristiano Ronaldo ended up in the best eleven of the 2019 UEFA players not entirely deservedly. ESPN and L'Equipe announce that the 34-year-old footballer was included in the eleven artificially. N'Golo Kante was supposed to take his place, but the organizers made sure it did not happen. Instead of the usual 4-3-3 formation, UEFA chose 4-2-4. According to the votes, N. Kante was supposed to form a safe trio together with Kevin De Bruyne and Frenkie de Jong. Instead of choosing the usual scheme, UEFA included four attacking players in the eleven, as C. Ronaldo, according to the votes, remained in fourth place, behind Lionel Messi, Sadio Mane and Roberto Lewandowski. The best eleven also included Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Matthijs de Ligt.
