After the scandalous events in the Champions League match in Greece, where the teams of Athens AEK and Amsterdam's "Ajax" met, UEFA gave its word.
Ajax fans were attacked even before the match started, when local fans threw two signal flares at the Dutch fans' stands. In the photos, it was also seen how police officers were hitting Ajax fans.
Greek team fans also threw Molotov cocktails at the Ajax fans' stands.
UEFA will make an official decision on December 13th.
AEK will be punished according to point 16 of the UEFA disciplinary code, which states about throwing various objects, using burning objects, invading the field, disturbing fans, and using unauthorized banners. The Greek club will also be held accountable for poor organization and blocked stairs.
Meanwhile, Ajax will be penalized for unauthorized use of burning objects and throwing objects.
