UEFA: "Tottenham" proved superiority against BVB, "Liverpool" failed to beat "Sevilla" (VIDEO)

On Wednesday evening, the UEFA Champions League matches started in groups E-H.

An intriguing clash took place at the "Wembley" stadium, where two representatives of Group H met - London's "Tottenham" and Dortmund's "Borussia". Mauricio Pochettino's team started the season in Europe confidently - defeating their German opponents 3-1.

The "Spurs" team had a very successful start to the match - Heung-Min Son scored the first goal with a great strike in the 4th minute. However, the hosts didn't enjoy their lead for long - in the 11th minute, Andriy Yarmolenko equalized with a clever shot.

But "Tottenham" quickly responded to "Borussia" - Harry Kane scored his third Champions League goal. In the second half, the same Englishman secured the victory with a precise shot.

In the same group, the defending champions Madrid's "Real" easily dealt with Nicosia's APOEL at home. Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and one from Sergio Ramos led the hosts to a 3-0 victory.

In Group E, "Liverpool" celebrated a victory against "Sevilla". Wissam Ben Yedder put the Andalusians ahead, but goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah turned the game in favor of "Liverpool".

At the end of the first half, R. Firmino had a chance to increase the lead from the penalty spot, but he missed, and "Sevilla" took advantage in the second half to equalize.

In other group matches, "Maribor" and Moscow's "Spartak" ended in a draw.

In Group F, "Manchester City" left no hope for "Feyenoord", while "Napoli" suffered an unexpected defeat away against Donetsk's "Shakhtar".

The remaining matches in Group G ended with "Besiktas" defeating "Porto" and "Leipzig" drawing with "Monaco".
