UEFA will not use the VAR system in the Champions League next year.

UEFA will not use the VAR system in its main club tournament next year, as confirmed by UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin. Despite FIFA planning to use VAR in the World Cup this summer, not all organizations currently view this system favorably. Next year, the Champions League will not implement this system, with V. Čeferin stating that the reason for this is due to the growing concerns about it. "Fans see the VAR screen all the time, but none of them can imagine how the system works. We will not use it in the Champions League next year," revealed UEFA president. However, V. Čeferin admitted that in the future he is favorable to the possibility of incorporating video reviews into their main club tournament. "To me, it seems like a good project, but we should not rush to implement it," V. Čeferin emphasized.
