UEFA decided which candidate will support in the upcoming FIFA presidential elections.
The European football organization expressed confidence in Gianni Infantino, who currently holds the position of UEFA General Secretary.
"The upcoming elections will take place during a very important period for the organization and will have a significant impact on the future of FIFA.
We believe that G.Infantino meets all the requirements to lead world football in the right direction and restore shattered trust.
UEFA believes that Giani has done a great job and proven himself to be a world-class administrator, establishing numerous contacts around the globe. We are delighted that he agreed to run and express full support," UEFA wrote.
The FIFA presidential elections will take place on February 26.
