Former London's "Arsenal" manager Unai Emery worked in the English capital for 18 months and stood out by rarely allowing midfielder Mesut Ozil into the starting lineup.
Now the Spaniard revealed the reason behind this choice to "BBC Sport.
"I had numerous conversations with the German, as he is a very important player for the team. We saw games where Mesut's brilliance shone in attack. On the other hand, I had to find players who would feel comfortable playing alongside Ozil.
There were times when I had to leave one player beyond the eleventh. Mesut had the talent to make others better, but when I wanted to put more pressure on the opponents, he was not always the best choice," explained U. Emery.
