Ukraine's state plans - ambitious sports plans.
"The Times" announces that Ukraine wants to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup together with Portugal and Spain.
Portugal and Spain had expressed their desire to host this tournament a little earlier, showing it in friendly matches held last summer. If these countries were to host the World Cup, there would be a lot of logic, as they are strong football nations with good infrastructure and are neighbors.
Ukraine is on the other side of Europe compared to Portugal and Spain. However, such a proposal was officially submitted to the FIFA organization today, Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the hosts of the 2026 World Cup have been clear for some time - USA, Canada, and Mexico.
