The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has issued a public statement requesting that the country's football league and leaders organize national championship matches on weekdays and at certain hours without spectators.

Due to security reasons, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also desires that football matches scheduled to take place in the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Odesa be relocated elsewhere.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs understands the importance and significance of football, but at the same time requests to take the measures we desire, as the safety and lives of the Ukrainian people are the highest value," the ministry's statement reads.

There are four rounds left until the end of the Ukrainian Premier League championship, with the next seven matches planned to be played on Sunday, May 11th.
