On Saturday, the 20th FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland concluded, with 24 teams competing.
In the final, the two best teams of the tournament, the youth teams of Ukraine and South Korea, faced off. After conceding an early goal, the Ukrainians fought back and secured a 3-1 victory.
The Asian visitors took the lead in the 5th minute, when Lee Kang-in converted a penalty awarded after a VAR review.
However, the Ukrainians didn't lose their composure and equalized in the 34th minute. In the second half, the Ukrainians eventually proved their advantage - Vladyslav Supriaha put them ahead in the 53rd minute, also scoring their first goal.
The victory was sealed at the end of the match by a great performance from Giorgi Tsitaishvili.
Ukraine left behind the US, Nigeria, and Qatar in the group stage, then defeated Panama in the quarter-finals, and eliminated Colombians and Italians in later stages.
