Amsterdam's "Ajax" footballers will continue their battles in the UEFA Europa League tournament in February, although the Dutch champions may have to fight for this trophy without their record club purchase. In January, "Ajax" acquired forward Sebastien Haller from London's "West Ham United" for about 22.5 million euros, but forgot to include him in the roster for the Europa League tournament. This information was confirmed by club representatives, who assure that they are looking for ways to correct this mistake. "We can confirm that Haller is not in the Europa League roster. We are trying to find out where the mistake was made. We are in contact with both the Dutch Football Federation and UEFA," said "Ajax" representative Mielas Brinkhuis. It is not yet clear whether an exception will be made for the Dutch champions regarding the registration of the forward in the tournament.
