Unbreakable Juventus Defense: 600 minutes without conceding a goal and G. Buffon's record

The „Juventus“ club won a victory of 2:0 in the first semi-final match against the „Monaco“ team and traditionally did not allow a single goal. The team has been continuing this streak for some time already. During the match against the „Monaco“ team, it was announced that the Italian team has not conceded a goal in the Champions League for 600 minutes. After the match, these minutes increased to 621, not counting the added time by the referee in each game.

In the Champions League competition, the „Juventus“ last conceded a goal in the group stage, winning 3:1 against „Sevilla“, with the Spanish goal coming in the 9th minute of the match. Since then, victories have been achieved against „Dinamo“ 2:0, „Porto“ 2:0 and 1:0, a victory against „Barcelona“ 3:0, followed by draws.

After the quarterfinals, Gianluigi Buffon revealed that he had said: if he manages to keep a clean sheet for two matches against „Barcelona“, he will retire at the end of the season. And it is Buffon who is the biggest contributor to all these numbers. He holds the Champions League record: in 100 matches, he kept his goal unbeaten in 60 of them.

The record for the longest unbeaten goal in the Champions League belongs to the „Arsenal“ club, when the Londoners kept their goal unbeaten for a staggering 995 minutes in the 2005/2006 season.
