Understanding the fans' displeasure: P. Maldini says, "We still believe in the coach"

"Milan" team suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Italian championships, but the club's sports director Paolo Maldini is not talking about changes in the coach's seat. After parting ways with Gennaro Gattuso at the end of the season, the "Milan" team appointed 52-year-old Marco Giampaolo as the new coach, who showed quite good results with Genoa's "Sampdoria". However, his career at "Milan" is unfolding quite differently - experiencing four defeats in the first six matches and ranking only 16th in the league table. As revealed by P. Maldini, the coach has full confidence from the management. "We chose the coach ourselves, so we will support him. We believe the best course of action is to give him time. From the very beginning, we knew we would face problems, but of course, we did not expect such a poor start. However, the quality of the game is definitely not bad", said the club legend. "Right now, we are like in a tunnel where we cannot see the light, but as the coach said, the only way out of this situation is through hard work. We have a lot of young players in the team, so we want the coach to become a true leader of the team. Right now, we can blame everyone - the players, the club, and the coach. I think the fans have every right to protest, but for now, it's just the beginning of the season and nothing is lost yet", added P. Maldini.
