"Milan" club management is experiencing a real drama. After the decision to part ways with Marco Giampaolo, two coaches were considered for his position - Luciano Spalletti and Stefano Pioli.
M. Giampaolo has not officially been dismissed from his coaching duties yet, but this should be confirmed by tonight.
We already wrote that "Milan" had set its sights on L. Spalletti, but, as I understand now, negotiations did not end successfully - "Milan" had to negotiate not only with him but also with Milan's "Inter" club regarding the coach's salary.
So, without reaching an agreement, it was decided to invite 53-year-old S. Pioli to the coaching position. This is reported by Fabrizio Romano.
S. Pioli led the "Fiorentina" team for the last two seasons, but in April of this year, he stepped down from his coaching duties.
During his career, the Italian also coached teams such as "Inter", Rome's "Lazio" and "Bologna".
Marco Giampaolo has been fired by AC Milan. The new manager is going to be Stefano Pioli (former Fiorentina and Inter coach). ???? #Milan @SkySport
