Berlin's "Union" returned to the path of victories in the local championship. Last Sunday evening, they played at home against Menchengladbach's "Borussia" team with a score of 2:1.

The hosts scored the first goal in this match, but Sheraldo Becker's accurate shot in the 29th minute was overturned after a VAR review.

Just moments later, "Borussia" scored their own goal. In the 33rd minute, Nico Elvedi scored with a header after a lifted corner kick.

There were not many chances created in the rest of the match, but "Union" managed to equalize in the 79th minute. After a high pass from Diogo Leite, Kevin Behrens directed the ball into the net with his head.

In the dying seconds of the match, the hosts scored the winning goal. In the 90+7 minute, Danilho Doekhi scored with a header.

"Union" reclaimed the top position in the standings, and they are now separated by just one point from the players of Munich's "Bayern" who are one step below.
